About FirmwareArchive

FirmwareArchive started as one person's folder of firmware images for devices they didn't want to re-buy just because a vendor deleted the download page. It grew into a small, volunteer-run archive covering routers, NAS boards, IP cameras, industrial gateways and a handful of other embedded device categories.

We don't modify anything we archive — no re-signing, no repackaging, no bundled installer wrappers. What you download is what the vendor originally shipped, checksummed at the time we captured it.

What we don't do

We don't archive firmware that requires an active support contract or per-device license to download legitimately, and we pull anything a vendor formally requests removed. This is a preservation project, not a way around vendor licensing.
